These
songs were recorded mostly in September
and October of 2002 at the Particle
Storm studios here on Oahu. Created
using a variety of computer software, a
Kurzweil
K2500X keyboard, Roland
V-Drums, and a few samples from the
game GridRunner++,
they are the first sequenced tracks
I have done since
around 1996.
hypermooves181
is an uptempo number with some piano and
synth leads, drums, and bass from the Kurzweil,
while computer systems provide various effects
and samples. The samples are from programmer
Jeff
'Yak' Minter (of his sheep, Flossie),
as well as an effect originally by Williams
for one of their games such as Joust
or Defender.
Similarly, Slinky
is another uptempo tune with some drums,
bass, and synth sounds being generated by
the V-Drums and Kurzweil. stuff
is a more relaxed song that features some
interesting synth sounds and a live electric
piano solo.
